The M1 is a full-size city e-bike built around one idea: the motor should make the ride easier, not make the bike harder to live with. A 36V 250W rear hub motor drives through a 27.5-inch wheel, so assistance arrives smoothly instead of jerking you forward. The battery is hidden inside the down tube and removes with a key — charge it in the house, or lock it in the frame when you park. And at 25 km/h with 250W, the M1 is a pedal-assist bicycle under EN 15194, not a moped: no licence, no insurance, no plate.

Where the M1 differs from the cheap e-bikes on the market is the parts you touch. Shimano 7-speed gearing instead of a single-speed hub. Mechanical disc brakes at both ends instead of V-brakes. A suspension fork and 27.5 × 2.1" tires that roll over cobbles and tram rails instead of chattering through them.

Is the M1 Legal to Ride in Europe?

Yes. The M1 is built as an EPAC (Electrically Power Assisted Cycle) under EN 15194. That means:

• Motor rated 250 W continuous—the ceiling for a pedal-assist bicycle in the EU and the UK.
• Assistance cuts off at 25 km/h, and the motor only runs while you are pedalling.
• No throttle, so no moped classification: no licence, no insurance, no number plate.
• Ride it on cycle paths, in bus lanes and on the road exactly like an ordinary bicycle.

Note: national rules vary in detail (for example, some countries require a bell or reflectors, and Germany treats EPACs as bicycles under the eKFV). Always check your local traffic code before riding.

Frequently Asked Questions

How far can the M1 go on one charge?

Around 50–80 km of assisted riding, depending on your weight, the terrain and which of the three assist levels you use. Flatter routes in level 1 will sit at the top of that range; hilly commutes in level 3 at the bottom.

Does it have a throttle?

No. The M1 is pedal-assist only — the motor adds power while you pedal. That is what keeps it a legal bicycle in Europe rather than a moped.

Can I ride it with the battery empty?

Yes. With the battery removed or empty the M1 rides like a normal 25 kg city bike, and the Shimano 7-speed gearing lets you gear down for hills.

What rider height does it fit?

The saddle is adjustable across a 155–185 cm rider range, and the frame is rated to a 120 kg total load including luggage on the rear rack.

Is the battery removable?

Yes — the 36V 13Ah (removable) pack is integrated into the down tube and comes out with a key, so you can charge it indoors or at your desk.
