About the REUDYN

Full introduction, real photos and everything worth knowing before you ride.

The REUDYN Hip X26 is a wearable hip exoskeleton built for people who want to go further without paying for it in fatigue. Two independent hip motors read your movement and add assistance exactly when your stride needs it, so long walks, steep climbs and full-day hikes feel lighter. It weighs 2.25 kg without the battery, folds to the size of a small backpack, and is ready to wear in under 12 seconds.

No manual mode switching. No second thought. The AI Motion Engine recognises what you are doing — walking, running, cycling, climbing or descending — and adjusts the assistance curve in real time.

Who it is for

  • Everyday active adults — daily walking, stairs and long errands with less effort.
  • Light outdoor enthusiasts — hiking, hill climbing, cycling and running, where assistance is felt immediately.
  • Travellers and photographers — long days on foot with a camera bag or fishing gear.

AI Motion Engine: sense, understand, adapt

Most assistive devices ask you to pick a mode before you move. The Hip X26 closes that loop by itself:

  • Sense — a back IMU, dual hip motor encoders and a barometer capture movement, gait and elevation changes in real time.
  • Understand — a self-developed neural-network gait algorithm recognises hip flexion and extension, start and stop, speed and posture, then classifies walking, uphill, downhill, cycling and other motion states.
  • Adapt — assistance timing and intensity are adjusted continuously, so support arrives in sync with your body instead of after it.

Recognition accuracy is verified at over 96% in internal testing, and the model keeps learning your gait the more you use it.

Aerospace-grade dual motors

Two independent motors deliver up to 1000 W peak power and 2 x 21 N.m peak torque. The QDD architecture pairs self-developed outer-rotor permanent-magnet synchronous motors with a precision planetary gearbox, vector control, cogging-torque compensation and flexible impedance control.

Independent left/right drive is not only about power. It distributes load across the lower back instead of concentrating it at the front of the abdomen, and it lets the algorithm set different timing and force for each leg — which is what makes alternating steps, turns and uneven ground feel natural.

Up to 20 km, and a 3-second battery swap

The 60.48 Wh battery delivers up to 20 km of assistance on a single charge, measured at 4 km/h on level ground at assistance Level 1, from 100% to depletion. Actual range varies with terrain, user weight, load and assistance level.

When it runs out, swap it in about three seconds — no tools, no downtime. The pack keeps more than 87% of its capacity after 500 cycles, charges in under two hours, and carries IP65 protection with ten layers of battery safety: overvoltage, over-discharge, charge/discharge overcurrent, hardware overload, short circuit, and charge/discharge high/low temperature protection.

Comfort that feels like part of you

  • 2.25 kg without battery — low-density magnesium alloy (1.7 g/cm3) and carbon fibre (1.37 g/cm3) keep the frame light without making it flex.
  • 340 degrees of hip range of motion — long strides, stairs and uneven ground without a mechanical stop fighting you.
  • Dynamic Glide System — the waist assembly slides with your body instead of pulling against it.
  • Three-buckle contoured waistband with honeycomb slow-rebound padding that conforms to your contours and relieves pressure.
  • Lycra leg straps that wick moisture, plus high-rigidity carbon-fibre leg rods that resist deformation under sustained load.
  • Adjustable aluminium waist links, waistband and leg straps for a fit that stays put.

Built for changing weather

IP54 protection on the device and IP65 on the battery, with an operating range of -10 C to 40 C and charging from 3 C to 35 C. Durable materials and sealed electronics are made for dust, drizzle and cold morning starts — not for submersion.
